Imagine Awards 2025: MUMBAI 06-08-2025

Earlier this week, PhantomFX proudly brought home the “Collaboration Excellence” Award at the Autodesk Imagine Awards 2025 for its work on “Thandel”.

 

The Autodesk Imagine Awards celebrate groundbreaking innovation across architecture, engineering, construction, product design, manufacturing, and media & entertainment. Renowned for embracing challenges, redefining creative boundaries, and uniting the art of storytelling with the precision of technology, this award marks another milestone in our journey of excellence.

"Thandel", a mid-year box-office hit of 2025, redefined collaborative VFX production at Phantom. The show’s heavy reliance on FX, particularly the creation of complex ocean simulation shots that spanned much of the film,  required Phantom to implement USD across our entire pipeline from asset management to layout, animation, FX, and lighting to enable parallel workflows, seamless data exchange, and consistent asset quality across teams and vendors.

With Maya as our central DCC tool, fully integrated with our USD pipeline, artists worked simultaneously on the same shots using USD references, reducing friction and ensuring smooth handoffs between departments.

This honor reflects Phantom’s belief that true innovation happens when creativity and technology work in harmony.
